Josh Heindselman and Mitchell Lance were each named to the 2019 Large West All-State wrestling squad last week as well as All-Suburban Conference.
Heinsdelman made the squad at 285 pounds after winning going undefeated and winning the Class 5A state championship in 2019. Lance made the team at 126 pounds after finishing third in the Class 5A State Tournament.
Lance and Heindselman are joined by Jayce Jantz, Alan Flores, Tabor McClure, Bryce DiGiacinto, Bo Hardy, Landis Scoon, Braden Culp, Austin Cooley and James Maguire on the All-Conference team, making 11 wrestlers from Piedmont on a roster of 14. Heindselman was named the conference’s Most Outstanding Wrestler.
