Piedmont’s girls soccer team’s winning streak came to an end Tuesday night in a 3-1 loss to rival Bishop McGuinness at F&M Bank Stadium.
The Wildcats are now 6-1 after starting the spring season with a five-game winning streak, including a district win at Duncan.
The Cats remain tied atop District 5A-2 at 5-1, 1-0 along with Lawton MacArthur and one district point ahead of Santa Fe South.
Piedmont’s boys picked up their third overall win of the season with a 1-0, shootout win over the Irish Tuesday night.
The Cats are now 3-3 overall and 1-0 in District 5A-2. They are currently tied for third place in the district with Santa Fe South. Both teams are three district point behind Lawton MacArthur and Western Heights who are tied atop the standings.
Piedmont’s girls look to rebound while the boys look to build momentum at the 2019 Northwest Classen Tournament this weekend at Taft Stadium in Oklahoma City.
