The City of Piedmont has announced that they will follow the same trick-or-treating guidelines as Oklahoma City.
Since Halloween falls on Wednesday, trick-or-treat times will be from about 6 to 9 p.m.
Piedmont City Manager Jim Crosby advised for trick-or-treaters to wear light-colored clothing, take a flashlight, walk with a parent or guardian and he emphasized checking candy.
“It’s sad that we have to do that,” he said. “But you never know in these days, so it’s better to be safe than sorry.”
The Oklahoma City trick-or-treat website advised to throw away candy that appears to have been tampered with or opened, and to look for suspicious items.
